DONATELLA FLICK LSO CONDUCTING COMPETITON
Created by Donatella Flick in 1990, the competition aims to help a young conductor establish an international conducting career, bridging the gap between conservatoire training and professional life.  The winner of the competition is offered, in addition to an award of £15,000, the opportunity to become Assistant Conductor of the LSO for up to one year. The competition is open to conductors under the age of 35 who are citizens of the 28 countries having full membership of the European Union.  Please see website for full details.

BOB HARDING BURSARY FOR YOUNG CONDUCTORS
The Bob Harding Bursary for Young Conductors provides an opportunity each year for a young conductor to assist in and observe rehearsals and concerts of the Havant Symphony Orchestra throughout a season.  Specific music colleges providing an advanced conducting course are each invited to nominate one candidate, and selection is by audition in July.

LEEDS CONDUCTORS’ COMPETITION
Organised by Leeds City Council,  the triennial Leeds Conductors’ Competition supports young British conductors.
