About the Abbado Musicians Trust

The Abbado European Young Musicians Trust (Abbado Trust) is a UK based charity founded in 1982 that helps musicians early on with their musical careers.

The Abbado Trust’s main charitable focus is to provide interest free loans to musicians under 30 on the threshold of a professional performing career who wish to purchase an instrument.

To apply for an interest free loan an application form needs to be completed and the necessary references and guarantors provided.  Loans are generally repayable within five years

Please see the website of the Abbado European Trust for more details and an application form

Our Collaboration!

The Countess of Munster is delighted to be partnering with the Abbado European Musicians Trust who also give interest free loans for the purchase of musical instruments.

We understand that some instruments may cost more than we as individual organisations can loan, so we are delighted to announce that it will now be possible to borrow money from both organisations providing the criteria for loans from the Munster Trust and the Abbado Trust are adhered to.
