Adjustments in response to COVID-19

We know that for musicians the impact of COVID-19 has been severe, with concerts and festivals cancelled, and other sources of funding sometimes not available or oversubscribed. Our supported postgraduate students and Recital Scheme artists have had to make many adjustments but the music colleges are providing tremendous support online and, thankfully, we can report that many music clubs, societies and festivals are trying their best to reschedule Recital Scheme concerts with our artists, for which we are grateful.

In the light of Government advice in March 2020, we cancelled all of the live auditions for the Munster Trust Study Awards.  Nevertheless, the Trustees have made it their priority to ensure that the Trust can still assist postgraduates in the coming academic year even if it proves necessary to restrict somewhat the amount of support available this year.  The assessment process for the Munster Trust Study Awards will continue, with applicants assessed on the basis of material already submitted.  Any applicant who made it through to the second round of assessment will be contacted in June with the result.
