To enable students to have an instrument worthy of their talents. Instruments
loaned to students of any age up to 21, until they are 25, when they must

Manoug Parikian Award - Prize of £3,000

of first-class performer under the age of 21 - must be used for study
costs or instrument purchase.
Guilhermina Suggia Gift for the Cello
Award of £3,000 for exceptionally talented students of any
nationality under the age of 21 - to be used towards study costs.
MBF Young Talent Awards - Awards are offered
to those who will be under 18 years of age on 1 September 2008 towards
one of the following i) the cost of buying an instrument ii) music lessons
with a private teacher iii) fees for a Saturday music centre iv) travel
expenses to attend a Saturday music centre.
Awards are also offered to those who are aged 18 and about to enter their
first year at university or college. Applications from 18 year olds can
only be made for instrument purchase.
The application process is now open and the closing date for receiving
complete applications is June. Applicants should be British or Irish or
have been resident in the UK or Ireland for at least 3 years on closing
date.

THE TALBOT HOUSE TRUST
Established March 1992 for such charitable purpose or purposes as the
Trustees shall from time to time determine. The Trustees meet annually
in the Spring and grants are made for the following academic year. All
completed application forms need to be received by the end of March in
advance of a Trustees meeting. In line with the donor's interests appeals
are being considered from individuals in the Performing Arts i.e. drama,
dance, music. Grants will normally be made as a contribution towards school
or college fees or courses for students in the Perfomring Arts. The Trustees
will receive applications from individuals anywhere in Great Britain and
Northern Ireland. In exceptional circumstances a grant may be given for
