    Brochure Information

BOOKINGS ARRANGEMENTS: Please note that you may engage artists for one concert only from this brochure. Arrangements should be made direct with the artists. Please ensure that all engagements are confirmed in writing with both the artists and the Trust, in order to avoid any later misunderstandings.

Some of the solo and duo artists participating in the Scheme collaborate with other artists to form larger ensembles and, for a more varied programme, you may like to explore the possibilities with them.

Once an engagement has taken place, you should notify us immediately. The Trustees appreciate comments on standards of performance and the demeanour of the artists and would like to receive copies of programmes and press reviews.

PAYMENT TERMS: There is a slight adjustment in payment terms. The Trustees will pay a fixed fee to each of one/two artists and this fee will include an element of travelling expenses. This will be a reduction on previous terms, where expenses were paid over and above the fee. In some cases, you may like to offer additional travelling expenses to the young artists. If more than two artists are engaged, it will be at your expense and this will include the ensembles. Please note that, in the case of oratorio concerts, the Trustees will meet the fee of only one soloist in only one concert.

BOOKING FEE: A booking fee of £75.00 is payable following a concert, for which a receipt will be issued. Please remit this to the Trust within two weeks of the engagement having taken place.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: It is your responsibility to provide publicity and the usual concert hall facilities. The Trust’s sponsorship should be acknowledged on leaflets, posters and programme notes.

HOSPITALITY: You should provide refreshments for the artists before and/or after the concert. Some artists will have to travel considerable distances to performances and the offer of overnight accommodation may be appreciated, either in private homes or at suitable establishments. We are sure you will give to these young artists a warm welcome.

CANCELLATION: If, for any unforeseen reason, a booking has to be cancelled, it is expected that the artists involved would be compensated by you to the extent of the fee forfeited.

You should notify this office immediately on learning that, for unforeseen reasons, an artist is unable to fulfil an engagement. The Trustees feel that they should have the opportunity to put forward an alternative performer. In no circumstances can the Trustees or artists accept responsibility for the costs or losses of a musical organisation in such instances and you should consider making your own arrangements to minimise this risk.

If, for any unforeseen reason, you cancel a booking, the Trustees would expect you to compensate the artists involved to the extent of the fee forfeited.
